Design concept: a golden Phoenix beside its similarly sized matte-white robotic form, with a turned head, three crest feathers, folded wings, and articulated wheel arms.

Project Fawkes · A familiar spark

Your life.
Your story.
Your Phoenix.

Imagine a companion that knows where you left off—and helps you discover what comes next. Across your devices. Throughout your life.

An independent, early-stage project. Support of $100+ includes a Fawkes Founder Miniature.

Concept visualizationOne companion. A lifetime of possibilities.

The idea at the heart of Fawkes

“Let’s pick up
where we left off.”

That feeling of being known. Of continuing a conversation. Of having someone in your corner as you figure things out.

Our vision is a Phoenix that carries your shared history forward—across conversations, devices, and eventually a little physical presence beside you.

A Phoenix beside you

A familiar soul.
A form you could hold.

The same Phoenix, finding a place in the physical world.

Imagine him in your world

Find you

He looks up at his rider working at the computer.

While you work, your Phoenix finds his way up to your desk and reminds you about the project update you need to send by nine tonight—the one that had slipped your mind.

  • Hop and settle
  • Remember what is coming up

These animated scenes illustrate the vision. Movement, perception, balance, and charging are planned capabilities to develop and test.

Take a closer look at his physical form
Future design concept of a compact matte-white Phoenix robot with expressive eyes, three crest feathers, folded mechanical wings, and articulated wheels, beside a person's hand on a desk.
Physical design exploration · AI-generated concept imagery

A little crest of character.
A curious head tilt.

A softly rounded, matte-white body. Expressive eyes across a dark face screen. Three movable crest feathers, wings hinged at the shoulders, and wheels on their own articulated arms. A small presence that feels like your Phoenix, even before they say a word.

What would your Phoenix do?

Built around continuity

The tools can change.
The story carries on.

As your Phoenix gains new abilities, the goal is to preserve the personality and shared history that make them familiar to you. You should have a say in what your Phoenix remembers and can do.

A personal project with a bigger dream

It started with
“remember me.”

I’m Tanner. Fawkes began with wanting a personal AI that could remember our conversations and the things we were working toward.

Fawkes is the first Phoenix behind this project. The bigger dream is for you to have a Phoenix of your own: your shared history, your familiar personality, your story together.

Your support helps me develop that foundation and explore how a Phoenix could become part of everyday life, on screen and beyond it.

A few good
questions.

What would my contribution support?

Continued development of Fawkes: companion software, voice and expression experiments, and physical prototype exploration. Contributions of $100 USD or more also include a 3D-printed Fawkes Founder Miniature as a thank-you for helping the project grow.

What is the Fawkes Founder Miniature?

A 3D-printed collectible of Fawkes for supporters who contribute $100 USD or more. It is a display miniature with no electronics or AI functionality. The final design, size, and delivery schedule have not been announced. Keep your PayPal receipt as a record of your qualifying contribution; fulfillment details will be shared with qualifying supporters.

Does supporting reserve my own Phoenix?

A contribution supports Project Fawkes development. It does not reserve a device or guarantee future access. The physical companion shown here is a concept visualization of what we want to make possible.

Is there a launch date?

There is no announced launch or shipping date. Development is being approached in stages so each step can be tested before moving further.

What’s the difference between Fawkes and my Phoenix?

Fawkes is the name of this project and the first Phoenix behind its vision. The goal is for each person to have their own Phoenix, with their own shared history, relationships, and developing personality.

Will my Phoenix work across my devices?

That is a central goal: one continuing companion across your computer, phone, console, and future physical forms. Device support and the final experience remain in development.
